NOTICE
                      END OF ATV SEASON

A great ATV season has gone by way too fast; however, the time has come to officially close our trails for the winter.

As of
November 15, trail signage will be removed in many areas to accommodate our friends at the local snowmobile clubs and our club trail inspections will end.

With the additions of our new trail sections this summer, our club now covers over 160 kilometers of trail through Georgian Bluffs and South Bruce Peninsula.

We have agreements in place with all three local snowmobile clubs to cooperate with trail signage and maintenance.

Our trail development team was able to open the Bruce Caves trail section this year and we have two great new feature trails ready to go for the spring.

We spent almost $2,000 to properly sign and way-find our existing trail system.

We now have our own escarpment gateway between the upper and lower Sarawak Keppel town line and late this fall with some great work from our volunteers, the pass is now very manageable.

Despite very high water levels, with serious effort from our members and several truckloads of fill, we were able to keep our Rankin River trail section above water throughout the year.

We made representation at the council level with the towns of Georgian Bluffs and South Bruce Peninsula resulting in dialogue with both communities on behalf of ATV riders, making the addition of many kilometers of trail possible.

We are continuing to work with several groups toward organizing ATV interests throughout Ontario and coming together with a single organization. This unification is still a ways off but we did make significant headway this year with the acceptance of EOTA and OFATV passes on each others trails.

We enjoyed a very successful poker ride in August and are working toward creating more group rides and special club events for next year.

No wonder the season seemed to go so fast. If you can help us out next year, contact us at info@sbpatvclub.ca .

We meet year round on the second Tuesday of the month, 7:30 p.m. at the Sauble Community Centre.

Have a great winter.
